The Tripplite 150SL is a fixed power system providing AC power. The system is capable of supporting up to 55Ah SLA batteries or 40Ah LiFEPO4 batteries. The tripplite solution is very reliable and is found inside many of the major cart manufacturers such as Rubbermaid and Ergotron. The Tripplite is a fixed power solution so it requires that the cart be stationary during charging cycles which can take up to 3 hours. As a retrofit solution integration can be a bit challenging as they do not provide any off the shelf enclosures or bracketry. In order to use the Tripplite to retrofit a cart a custom enlcosure must be designed or purchased from a 3rd party provider. They do offer all of the necessary internal components as well as a remote power meter that uses a standard cat 5 cable for easy integration onto the cart. Tripplite also offers a client based GUI software and network management software, however both packages are simply the standard Tripplite UPS software. They are designed to manage UPSes in a datacenter not mobile carts so the interface is not as polished as some of the competitors. Integration of the Tripplite can be complex so installation by a trained professional is recommended especially as a custom enclosure will be needed. Tripplite does not offer onsite warranty so any defective units must be sent in for repair which required removal which can be time consuming. Overall the Tripplite is a reliable and high perfoming unit, however due to lack of enlcosure or brackets and custom software it typically is not ideal for retrofit opportunities.
