The Enovate E997 Wall Mounted Arm solution is a standard height adjustable articulating arm. The E997 comes standard with the height adjustable arm, has an optional 16″ extension arm available, and multiple wall track sizes. The system is designed for mounting directly to studs or concrete and does not have an option for drywall only installation. With the extension arm installed the arm provides decent reach and allows for a wide range of motion. Cable management for the E997 is one of it’s week points. Most of the plastic cable covers are held in with tension only and can easily pop off if the arms are moved in the wrong direction. This arm also requires that large loops of cable are left outside the arms at it’s pivot points which does not look great. Because of the way the cables get routed through the arms the end user can also only fold the arm up against the wall in one direction. If the end user tries to close it in the wrong side it will pinch the cables causing potential damage. Enovate does not provide onsite support for their wallmounted products so the end user must have staff available or a 3rd party company to perform warranty repairs. The E997 will perform adequately, but the poor cable management makes it a less effective solution then some of it’s competitors.
