The Ergotron line of desk mounted sit-stand units provide multiple lightweight solutions for adding a workstation to a desk or table. The solutions can be mounted through a grommet in the work surface or they can clamp to the rear or front of the desk. The sit stands come as an S model which is a height adjustable stand with or the A version which utilizes an articulating arm to give the user a very large range of motion. Both solutions can be configured with single or dual monitors and have the options for basic keyboard trays or built in work surfaces as well. Installation of these units is fairly easy and can be performed by one person. Cable management keeps cables clean, but the rear cable covers can pop off easily. Also for front mounted units the keyboard tray can extend beyond the edge of the desk when lowered which can affect the ability to use the desk properly. The sit stand units have quite a bit of plastic components which are less reliable than some of the competition. Ergotron warranty support does not provide onsite technicians so any service work would need to be performed by the facility staff or a 3rd party provider. Overall the Ergotron desk mounted sit stands are a decent entry level solution for users needing a desk mounted work station.
