The GCX VHM 25 arms are a well designed and super rugged articulating arm solution. Unlike the standard VHM arms the VHM 25 is a smaller and lighter solution which can support only 25lbs. Typically the solution utilizes two arms, one for the LCD screen and a separate arm for the keyboard tray. Just like the GCX cart solutions there are virtually unlimited numbers of configurations that can be created with this product. The base unit is a height adjustable articulating arm, but multiple rear extensions are available that can extend the unit by up to 8″. GCX provides mounts for most major medical device manufacturers as well so additional accessories can be added to mount vital monitors and other devices as well as the EMR equipment. GCX also offer many different options to mount the arms to the wall. There are standard tracks, seismic rated tracks, and even tracks that have height adjustment built right in. The track sizes can range from 6″ up to 49″. Installation of the solution can be done by one person is is pretty standard compared to other solutions. Cable management on the GCX arms could use improvement. A lot of cable is visible as it travels through out the arm and the track covers in the main channels are somewhat flimsy. The cable tracks can be cut to side, but are only held in by small tabs which do not hold very tightly and can easily be popped off. GCX does not provide onsite warranty support so facility staff or a 3rd party company must be used for servicing. Overall the GCX VMH25 arm is made with superior and durability and is one of the most reliable solutions on the market.
